Playground equipment was recently installed at Conewago Township’s Plum Creek Rec Park. A pavilion was also constructed, and a sign erected. Other developments will occur soon at the popular site on the grounds of the former Hanover airport.

Conewago Township’s supervisors committed up to $400,000 of township funds to guarantee 135 acres of prime farmland will never be sold for development.

After Vice Chair Tom Weaver made the motion at Monday’s meeting, other supervisors vied for the right to second, demonstrating their unanimous enthusiasm for the effort.
