Saint Francis to reopen

DISTANCE — Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic School Principal Becky Sieg stands in one of the school’s classrooms. The school will reopen with COVID-19 restrictions on Aug. 31.

Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic School’s 40-acre campus makes social distancing easy.

Principal Becky Sieg and her staff are ready to use that space to keep pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students and staff as safe as possible five days a week in a COVID-19 world. A task force that included retired pediatrician Dr. Ed Szoke has focused on safety since school closed in March, Sieg said.
