Pottery Donation

Bill Newman, right, recently donated his collection of pottery by Cheever Meaders to the Fairfield Historical Society (FHS). Pictured from left, are Nancy Wenschhof, secretary of the FHS, and Camille Cline, president of the FHS. The pottery collection will be on display in the Fairfield Village Hall this weekend during the 40th annual Pippenfest.

With a chill finally in the air and her neighbors hurrying to neaten up yard sale items for the coming weekend, Sally Thomas is beginning to feel the excitement again in Fairfield.

In a few days, Fairfield’s East Main Street will bustle with stilt-walkers, clowns, horse-drawn carriages, vendors and shoppers to celebrate Pippinfest for the 40th time. The event staff is preparing for a reemergence after the pandemic forced cancellation last year.
