Between honking caravans winding through town and frequent demonstrations on Lincoln Square, Election Day “can’t come soon enough,” Gettysburg Borough Council President Jake Schindel said Tuesday.

Saying he hasn’t encountered such “obnoxious” honking during more than 20 years of living downtown, Schindel asked Police Chief Robert Glenny about enforcement. Horns are technically only to be used as warning devices, Glenny said.
