Hannah Huber is American and Dutch.
The Gettysburg native was first exposed to the Netherlands as an exchange student in high school. She returned there after college and has dual citizenship. She has watched America from the sidelines for two decades and recently got to a point in her life where she has spent almost equal time in each of her homes. Huber believes her situation is unique, since many dual citizens are from military families accustomed to constant relocation. Huber used the pandemic to explain her life to others through a fiction novel, “Place.”
