A message on the rear window of a vehicle in the Fairfield school parking lot Monday night offered a preview of protests from parents who called upon the board to disregard a Pennsylvania facemask mandate.

Richard Phillips and Candace Ferguson Miller, both of whom applied to fill a recently-vacated board seat, spoke out against kowtowing to the state’s requirement for students to be masked.
