An acetylene tank and tires exploded Wednesday as fire destroyed a metal building containing “classic vehicles,” Greenmount Community Fire Department Chief Don Ohler said.

The structure at 2465 Bullfrog Road was “fully involved” in flames as emergency personnel arrived within about 11 minutes of the 3:59 p.m. dispatch, said Ohler, who drove the first engine to reach the site.
