Old engine on display

A restored 1926 hose and chemical engine was on display during an open house at the Fairfield Fire Company on Sunday. Admiring the first motorized fire engine used by the department are, from left, Larry Schneider, Chief Bill Jacobs, Larry Spangler and R. Wayne Powell. Spangler restored the 1926 Chevrolet vehicle; the others are longtime veteran firefighters.
