Carlisle Road blocked for hours

A tractor-trailer is off-loaded Thursday at Carlisle (Pa. Route 34) and Old Carlisle roads north of Gardners. The Adams-Cumberland Medical Center’s sign was destroyed in the crash. Fire police from several companies were called to direct traffic while the road was closed. The location is in north-central Adams County. Authorities were on the scene from 11:13 a.m. until 8:04 p.m., according to the Adams County Department of Emergency Services. State police had not yet issued a news release as of Sunday.
