Car into pond at college

Gettysburg Borough Police officers, above, check out a car that ran into a pond about 7:35 p.m. Thursday at Gettysburg College. The lone female occupant got out on her own, but was unable to say what happened, according to police on the scene. A broken window and body damage were visible on the Chevrolet Cruze’s passenger side. An ambulance transported the woman from the scene, police said. The car only drove a few feet into Quarry Pond. A tow truck operator was able to drive it out. (Jim Hale/Gettysburg Times)
