Fern Freda Nowak-Lattanzio, age 81, of Gardners, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, surrounded by her family at her grandson’s home in Gardners. She was born October 16, 1939, in Rose Hill, Va., the daughter of the late Leonard and Eva Mae (Buttery) Anderson.
Mary Ann “Pickle” (Bevenour) Shriver, 88, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Herbert R. “Russ” Shriver, her husband of 60 years, who died June 14, 2013.
Page K. Evans of Littlestown passed away June 5 at the age of 97. Page was born on Dec. 9, 1923 in Havre De Grace Maryland, the oldest of five children of V. Page and Anna (Keene) Evans.
Francis J. Small, Jr., age 78, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, June 10, 2021. He was the loving husband of Joan F. (Bair) Small. Together they shared over 55 years of marriage.
Francis Joseph “Polly” Medvid of Emmitsburg, Md. passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 82. Polly was born on Nov. 19, 1938 in Boston, Mass. to Stanley Medvid and Anna Ring. He was raised by foster parents, Frank and Ruth Stull, in Thurmont, Md.
Richard B. Heller, age 67, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at the Brethren Home, New Oxford. Born on Sept. 5, 1953, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Gerald R. Heller and Martha R. Heller Boyer of The Gardens at Gettysburg.
Charles Andrew “Chuck” Then, passed away peacefully Friday, June 4, 2021 at Forbes Hospital in Pittsburgh at the age of 82. He was born May 14, 1939 to the late Charles J. and Mary (Healy) Then.
On June 4, Wiley E. Asberry, devoted husband, father and friend to many, passed peacefully at The Brethren Home with his daughter, Mary Ellen, and son, Joseph, at his side. Wiley is also survived by his granddaughter, Ashley and his great granddaughter Chyna, and dear friend, Linda Lenhart.
Edward “Ed” D. Gillespie, age 83, of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg. He was born June 12, 1937, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of the late Andrew and Ora Mae (Ribblett) Gillespie Jr.
Khaliek Haile Salassie Grimes was born on May 28, 1999. He entered into eternal life, on May 30, 2021. He is the son of Melisha Grimes of Littlestown, and Kahle Ream of York Pa.
Mark Kurtz Eckert, 77, of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, son of Mark Anthony and Mary Alice (Neely) Eckert of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Eckert, and daughter Jennifer Eckert.

Rev. Dr. Orville W. Nyblade, 94 of Gettysburg, died peacefully at home on Dec. 16, 2020 Born in Muskegon, Michigan, on Jan. 20, 1926, he was the son of the late Carl Frederick and Hilda Christine Nyblade.

Patricia Emlet Moore, age 90, of Gettysburg, died peacefully in York Hospital on Sunday May 23, 2021, after a brief illness. Born May 8, 1931, in Loysville, Pa., Pat was a graduate of Gettysburg College, ’52, where she met her husband, Carey A. Moore. They married New Year’s Eve 1952.
