The Times Area will be well represented at the boys’ state cross country championships in Hershey.
While league championship races are always fun and exciting, District 3 made a change last year in its cross country qualifying format that made the league meets even more competitive. Now, the only way anyone can qualify for the district meet is through the conference or league meet.
As the high school cross country season inches towards the league and district meets towards the end of next month, Delone Catholic’s boys have set themselves up for a whale of a finish.
On a perfect day for running, with bright blue sky and 71 degree temperatures, the YAIAA Cross Country Championships were held on Tuesday afternoon at John Rudy County Park near York. Several area runners excelled and ran well enough to qualify to represent their schools at districts.
